My Projects

This is a three-module asynchronous course on Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This was designed for IDT 8030 - . The design principle for the course is based on Keller's ARCS model. This project will highlight Curriculum Design, Theory Application, Content Creation and Technology Development. The course has a blend of teaching and learning methods that include podcasts, video lessons, in addition to selected readings. This accomplishes my goal to create a learning unit/course using an LMS platform. 

This is a blended lesson plan that I developed modifying an existing lesson on identifying key structural differences between poetry, prose, and drama. The target learners are 4th grade students. The lesson is a 60 minute class in Canvas. The lesson is based on UDL principles with multiple means o representation, expression, and action. The lesson takes into consideration learner differences and allows a lot of flexibility and opportunities for learners to express themselves in various and accessible ways.

I created an instructional design model to teach online research/web literacy skills. The model is an adaptation of the Dick & Carey model. This instructional model has been designed to teach a stand-alone web literacy class in addition to regular schoolwork. However, the nature of the instructional model is such that it can be adapted to be part of any subject class, be it ELA, Social Studies, etc. I chose this artifact as it will showcase my ability to apply what I learned in ID theory to design an educational learning model.
